Widespread application of biotechnology to promote the rapid development of the pharmaceutical industry, make it a broad market prospect and huge development potential of the "never fading sunrise industry", many countries and regions regarded as a strategic industry to support. It is noteworthy that the 20th century, 80's, especially the 21st century, a large number of foreign capital began to flow into China's pharmaceutical industry, so far, the world's top 20 pharmaceutical companies have all established joint ventures in China and wholly owned enterprises, multinational pharmaceutical companies have become medicine a new economy and promote economic growth an important force for economic development in medicine.Students in the new round of international industrial transfer, the multinational pharmaceutical companies are no exception to advance its worldwide reorganization and transfer of production assets. Seize the opportunity to actively promoting China's foreign direct investment in the development of the pharmaceutical industry, improve our international competitiveness of the pharmaceutical industry is the entry point for this analysis. In this paper, the relevant theory, expounded China's pharmaceutical industry and its use of foreign capital on the basis of development, combined with international competitiveness of the general requirements for training, from the pharmaceutical industry, technological progress, trade capacity and international market share and international level and so more depth analysis of foreign direct investment role, and through empirical analysis further demonstrated the use of foreign direct investment and foster the international competitiveness of the pharmaceutical industry relations, that foreign direct investment and technology spillover effects of technology transfer to improve the pharmaceutical industry in China technical level, a large number of low-tech manufacturing center and the transfer of business to enhance the trade capacity and international market share, speed up the process of internationalization. On this basis, empirical test results show that foreign direct investment and the pharmaceutical industry trade capacity and international market share is positively related, indicating that a large number of China's pharmaceutical industry, the inflow of foreign capital, and its trade capacity and international market share will be growing. This paper argues that to foster the international competitiveness of China's pharmaceutical industry, must pay attention to foreign direct investment in an irreplaceable role, foreign direct investment to take advantage of technology transfer, technology-driven pharmaceutical industry to promote the development of our country. Therefore, we must improve the relevant legal system, multinational pharmaceutical companies for the use of technology transfer and technology spillover channels and build an effective policy support; to emphasize innovation, we must attach importance to links to international resources through mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment and give full play before and after association effect, in order to improve our international competitiveness of the pharmaceutical industry.
