The Selection Problem On The Path Of Market-Oriented In City Public Transportation

Urban public transport maintains the normal operation of urban functions and plays an important role in economic and social progress. Various countries begin to recognize the importance of public transport industry, in order to promote public transport good running and all begin to reform public transport. Our public transport industry is developed from a planned economy, Public traffic is manifested and served by governments in traditional models, as a result, serious financial problem and public dissatisfaction are increasingly prominent and governments lack the motivation of reforming and innovating. So our public transport dilemma reform is imperative, in 2004 the strategy of public traffic priority is proposed and marks the beginning of public transport reform. Then though these reforms gain some achievements, there are some problems. For example, imperfect external market system, lack of the law, the incompetence of government responsibility and unguaranteed Bus service quality hinder the further development of public transport. Therefore, the article bases on the present situation of urban public transport reform, absorbs the successful experiences of the transport reform, in order to find the problems and solve them and promote the better development of public transport in our country.From the structure, the thesis is divided into five parts. The first part introduces the concepts and theoretical background of the public transportation; the second part introduces the successful market-oriented reform modes of developed countries and learns from success of developed countries and regions. The third part introduces our public transportation reform modes and analyses the problems in these modes; the fourth part is the analysis example,the last part, put forward countermeasures, is the important part of this thesis, puts forward countermeasures based on urban public transport reform which perfects our public transportation reform.
