The Tea Industry Situation And Development Countermeasures In Qingyuan

This article focuses on the tea gardening industry in Qingyuan County, southwestern Zhejiang Province. The tea gardening industry in Qingyuan is as follow:as one of the pillar industry in local economy, tea gardening has been widely distributed in local 20 townships. Local physical conditions favor the tea gardening, with quality spring tea gardening-belt in the western low altitude region and quality-organic tea gardening-belt in the eastern high altitude region. Thank to favorable policies of local county government, the area of tea gardening is expanding, output is increasing, its value is increasingly rising. Tea gardening factory has grown rapidly, standard gardening projects are promoted, the role of separation in tea gardening sector has also optimized. Through typical cases, the author analyzed the internal advantages with method of SWOT, like the advantage of eco-environment, land resources, local unique culture and so on. Meanwhile, the author figured out disadvantages, like small-scale gardening, disperse management, lacking of technology, backward transportation and low level of standard production. Besides, the author propounded the external opportunities, like favorable agriculture policies, the stresses from the government, the huge potential of tea market and people's preference on green and organic tea. Above all, this article finds out A growth strategy (SO strategy package), from which the author extended to his suggestions:The tea sector can gain further development only with the supporting from government, diversified strategy of development, establishing special cooperatives, fostering leading factories and tapping the cream of tea culture.To support the study, the author collected a large amount of first hand materials of tea gardening sector in Qingyuan and some available research findings both from home and abroad, then carried out field study to explore the law and the problems of the tea gardening sector in Qingyuan. By summarizing the development goals, regional distribution and its existing conditions of development, we put forward several suggestions of its further development.
