Economic Benefit Evaluation Of Transportation Companies

ABSTRACT:Transportation industry is the basic industry in the national economy. The development of the transportation industry is conducive to optimizing the allocation of social resources. Since reform and opening, China's transportation industry has made considerable progress, and has played an important role in economic and social development. With the gradual improvement of China's market economy, transportation market is becoming more competitive. How to evaluate and improve economic benefit of transportation companies, how to gain advantages in the fierce competition, these are issues that companies are required at this stage to resolve. The whole benefit of a systematic study on the economic evaluation of transportation companies has great meanings, for increasing economic benefit of transportation companies, playing a more important role in social economic development and ensuring social harmonious development.In this paper, we first analyzed the existing research and development of enterprise performance evaluation. In view of the operating characteristics of transportation companies, we construct an economic benefit evaluation system of transportation companies consisting of financial benefit, asset management, solvency and development ability, using the analytic hierarchy process to evaluate transportation companies' economic benefit. In order to verify this evaluation index system and method scientific and feasibility, we evaluate the economic benefits of 23 listed companies in transportation industry.The results showed that the evaluation index system and method are feasible and effective, and it can play an important role in improving the economic benefit evaluation of transportation companies.
