Since reform and opening, China's economic development is rapid, there are also associated with urban-rural gap, regional disparities, etc. The expansion of urban-rural gap has become of China's sustained economic development, social harmony and stability constraints. Chongqing is located in the inland of China, economic development was lagging behind the east, coupled with complex landform, fragile ecological environment , difficult task of building the reservoir area, Chongqing has a strong typical urban-rural gap. As the only municipality in central and western regions and urban and rural national experimental zone for comprehensive reform, speed up urban and rural reform and development, has very important significance.Evaluation on the urban and rural areas, many scholars have done research, but because of different research purposes, different indicators, evaluation results obtained are very different.This paper focuses on "Evaluation of urban and rural economic and social co-ordination", the theme for the study of Chongqing on the overall evaluation of urban and rural economic and social indicators, the model has been studied and discussed, the main contents and conclusions include:(1) Explain Urban and Rural Development the background and significance, research status, defines the essence of urban and rural development evaluation is the evaluation of urban and rural economic and social co-ordination. In reference to the basis of extensive literature, from the urban and rural co-ordinate the purpose of evaluating the degree of departure, regulate the overall evaluation of urban and rural economic and social principles.(2) Many scholars in the light of related research, evaluation follows the principles of urban and rural economic and social co-ordination, on the basis of consultation with relevant experts, selected by qualitative analysis, including economic and social development of both urban and rural areas of 16 indicators of economic and social co-ordinate evaluation index system.(3) Urban and rural areas have been developed for the overall evaluation index system of economic and social, in the following evaluation index system based on the principle of selecting, from the final integration of urban and rural idea, developed criteria for evaluating the various indicators, and the overall status of the various indicators of the backward, poor, average, good, excellent delineation of five levels.(4) The use of entropy weight and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation of urban and rural economic and social co-ordination building evaluation model.
