Since the second half of 2008, it is increasingly evident that the employment situation in China is very serious affected by the international financial crisis, and the employment problem has become the focus of people's livelihood. In the meantime, growth of the service industry employment continues unabated, greatly easing the current employment difficulties in China. Therefore, to solve the current employment problem in China, it is practical and significant to find out the influencing factors and to analysis their effects on general service industry employment.Based on the review of the papers on the service industry and employment, combined the valuable research results with the actual situation of employment in China, centered on the employment effects of general service industry, this thesis discusses the relationship between the number of service industry employment and the factors including economic output, human resources, urbanization level and distributive justice level and so on.In this thesis, through the multiple linear regression analysis of service industry employment with Eviews software, some initial results can be given here as the following conclusions:1) The five factors concerned with service industry employment are per capita income, average wage of employees in service industry, service industry labor productivity, urbanization and the Gini Coefficient;2) Services industry in China has the scale benefit on employment, that is, when all of the three positive factors, including per capita income, average wage of employees in service industry and urbanization, increase of 1%, the service industry employment will increase of more than 1%;3) There is a strong correlation between the service industry employment and the fairness of the distribution of national income in China.
