Research On The Influencing Factors Of Producer Service In Guangdong Province

After The Second World War, the service industry, which departed from manufacturing industry, has become an independent industry. Now the service industry is growing very fast, and playing a more and more important role in our national economy. Producer service, which belongs to the service industry, has drawn great attention because of high labor productivity and high speed of growth, the important role it played in promoting innovation and updating technology. Because of the special role the producer service played in the economy, scholars have made a lot of research on it, but many researches focus on the intension and extension of producer service, or on the interaction relationship between manufacturing industry and producer service, only a few research considered the specific influencing factors.Based on the summarization of the previous studies and theoretical analysis, the paper believes that urbanization level, human capital, industry cluster of manufacturing and ownership structure have great impact on the development of producer service. For further studying the correlation of the four indexes, the paper uses the data of Guangdong province from 1996 to 2009 to establish the multivariate linear regression model. The conclusion shows that urbanization level, human capital, industry cluster of manufacturing and ownership structure are positively related with producer service. Finally, the paper comes up with some suggestions on the development of Guangdong producer service.
