The Research On Transformation And Upgrading Of Electrical Household Appliances Industry In Guangdong Province

The paper explained the importance of the electrical household appliances industry in economic development of Guangdong Province and China, and revealed its current development model had reached a bottleneck. It has to change the existing development model and put up strategy of transformation and upgrading in the industry to keep the vitality of the industry. In the theoretical part, firstly, it introduced and summarizes the related conception of transformation and upgrading and manufacturing, and then reviewed it's related theory and classified the theory of international trade, the theory of Porter's competitiveness model trilogy, the related theory of Metastasis of international industry and the dynamic comparative advantage theory, finally, selected the Model of "the four factors of Porter" as the guiding theory of this paper to analyze the transformation and upgrading of home appliance manufacturing industry in Guangdong Province on the view of international competitiveness.In empirical research, in the first instance, it described the status of the home appliance industry in China and Guangdong and three development stages of electronics manufacturing in Guangdong. It found the problems and cause of the development of home appliance manufacturing in Guangdong Province according to the Model of "the four factors of Porter". Secondly, it selected "Meida" as an example of household electrical appliance enterprises in Guangdong, based on the Model of "the four factors of Porter" to analyze it's successful experience, and found out its feasibility and motivity of transformation and upgrading, and pointed out its way in technological innovation, brand enhanced, the strategy of optimizing product and scientific direction of structure and upgrade. Last, using the Model of "the four factors of Porter" as the guiding ideology to explore barriers of the transformation and upgrading of appliance manufacturing in Guangdong province and according to the theory and the contents of earlier summarized two paths about transformation and upgrading of appliance manufacturing gradualism way and leaps and bounds way for different types household electrical appliance enterprises. The paper used the management's method and summed up the case analysis of appliances business transformation and upgrading to four models for different types of home appliances in Guangdong Province enhancing the international competitiveness of enterprises. Finally, the article summarized the paper and obtained eight conclusions.
