Study On Development Of Urban Agriculture In MinHang District Of Shanghai

In recent years, with the development of the urbanization, the agricultural land has been reduced sharply and the problem of land scarcity becomes apparent. On the other hand, the concentration of population to the city has caused a series of urban issues. Meanwhile, as the constant improvement of the living standard, it will inevitably lead to more demand for high-quality agricultural products, good living environment and ecological environment. In this context, some metropolises at home and abroad put forward to building urban agriculture and promoting the transformation of agricultural development mode.On the base of statistical yearbook data and documentation, this paper takes minhang district of Shanghai as an example, by using the method of the combination of the quantitative evaluation and qualitative analysis, theoretical analysis and authentic proof research. Aim at building minhang district urban agriculture, this paper focus on the respects such as the function orientation of urban agriculture, the adjustment of industrial structure, industrial organization model and general special layout and so on.Based on analyzing current situation of agricultural development in minhang district, the significance to build urban agriculture, the excellent conditions and main problems, this paper puts forward the strategic vision to develop urban agriculture. Firstly, the function orientation of urban agriculture is to speed up the transformation from simple production function to economy, ecology, leisure and cultural functions, from subsistence agriculture to multi-function agriculture. Secondly, according to the function orientation, the agriculture industry can be classified into three industries:the security industry, the local characteristic advantage industry and the service industry. After the adjustment of the industrial structure, this paper ulteriorly proposes specific agricultural measures for grain industry, vegetable industry, diversification gardening and provenance industry and so on. Thirdly, according to the technical and economic conditions of the agriculture industry, the characteristics of the industry and the feasibility, it will promote large-scale, organized and industrialized production management development by the way of vertical integration and horizontal integration. Then, under the guidance of all kinds of recent planning about minhang district, combined with status of the agricultural, the environmental characteristics and regional industrial foundation, the rule of spatial distribution of urban agriculture in minhang district has been concluded. Finally, some suggestions related to the key issues during the development of urban agriculture have been put forward in this paper.
