Research On Function Orientation And Development Of New Urban District Of The Port City

The port plays a more and more important part in the regional economic development, during the current context of economic globalization. Transnational circulation of production factors and the development of international trade, have brought new opportunities for the development of ports and port cities. Along with the worldwide accelerating process of economic integration, the ability of carrying on industry transfer is more and more strongly relying on superior geographical position and industrial developing advantages in Bohai Rim region. On the rapidly develop background of industrialization and urbanization in China, Bohai Rim region has become prominent third-class status of China's economic. The development and construction of new urban district is helpful to improve the level of regional urbanization and industrialization and is important for the industrial structure optimization, city space expanding, city function perfecting, and city competitiveness improvement. The development of new urban district can help to promote regional economic development and improve levels of regional urbanization and industrialization.Reasonable function orientation of new urban district is the basis for scientific planning and healthy development. The function orientation of Bohai new urban district is proposed in this article, according to the related theories of new urban district development and the role of the port in the city, by using urban function orientation and using experience of other cities for reference. According to the current and actual situation of Bohai new urban district, the reasonable development strategies are proposed.First, this article analyzes and summarizes the research status of the urban function orientation, the function orientation of new urban district and the development of new urban district at home and abroad. In the second part, the author has defined the new urban district, the new urban district of the port city, the function orientation of new urban district of the port city. the function orientation system of new urban district of the port city is proposed based on analysis of the role and function of the new urban district of the port city from two aspects which the role of the new urban district and the role of port in the city. In the third part, this article analyzes the leading industry of Bohai new urban district, according to the qualitative analysis of regional industrial location and development conditions in the Bohai new urban district. Obtain appropriate population scale of Bohai new urban district and new town of Huanghua city using the environmental capacity method. At last, according to the correlation theories and actual situation of Bohai new urban district, the reasonable development strategies of the Bohai new urban district are proposed. This article has proposed the system of function orientation of new urban district of the port city. According to my analysis, I thought that the leading industries of the Bohai new urban district include: petroleum chemical industry, equipment manufacturing industry, modern logistics industry and high-tech industry. I surveyed that the appropriate population scale of the Bohai new urban district is 1,593,000 in 2020. According to the idea of harmonizing the regional concurrence relationship, and strengthening internal development mechanism and consummating the support safeguard system, the reasonable development strategies of the Bohai new urban district are proposed.
