Study On The Evaluation And Spatial Distribution Of Urban Agricultural Development In Jiangxia District Of Wuhan

As a new cross-industry, urban agriculture combines urban and suburban areas, agriculture and tourism, the three main industries closely. It integrates the urban construction and agricultural development. Urban agriculture is a key point in the process of urban economy and ecological system. The purpose of this study is finding out the level of the urban agricultural development at Jiangxia District by constructing the evaluation index system. Find the weak links of development meanwhile affirm their achievements. After the comprehensive analysis of various factors and agricultural development situation, we hope to built a modern urban agricultural system that matching with Wuhan metropolis, man and nature harmonious at Jiangxia District through scientific and reasonable space distribution.Jiangxia District has good conditions for the development of urban agriculture as one of the new city in Wuhan. This paper started from the connotation and function of urban agriculture, made investigation and analysis of current situation on urban agriculture of Jiangxia District in aspects of society, economy and ecology. Then, made comprehensive quantitative assessment about the level of the urban agricultural development at Jiangxia District by constructing the evaluation index system. After the comprehensive analysis for Jiangxia District’s favorable conditions and constraints of urban agricultural development level, formulated development goals, put forward the planning idea and functional orientation. Combined with the relevant planning documents of Wuhan urban agriculture, Jiangxia District area can be divided into three functional areas which supported by GIS:"Prohibited development area","Limit development area" and "Appropriate development area". Further concluded general distribution of Jiangxia District’s urban agriculture that named "one area, two parks, three districts, four industrial chains" and spatial arrangement for each industry can be taken. Finally, to ensure the smooth operation of the urban agricultural layout planning at Jiangxia District, this dissertation constructs a series of security measures in five aspects:the organization and leadership, investment and financing mechanism, agricultural service system, agricultural risk protection and land transfer mechanism.The research achievement of this dissertation mainly includes the evaluation results and analysis of Jiangxia District’s urban agricultural development level, the urban agriculture overall spatial distribution, the industrial development distribution and the implementation of safeguard measures to provide certain reference in promoting Jiangxia District’s urban agriculture better and faster development.
