Research On The Inventory Control Of Pingzhuang Coal Croup LTD

As coal resource is comparatively rich and oil and gas resources is short, coal is still the principal energy in China. In the long run, coal is the base of energy supply security. It is estimated that the need for coal will up to 3.4 billion tons by the end of 2015. At present, the production of state-owned large and medium sized coal enterprises are nearly in full load, which causes the consumption of materials increase year by year. There are many kinds of materials in coal enterprises, and the coal mining and safety is directed linked with the timely supply of materials, so reasonable inventory management for materials of coal enterprises is indispensable.On the basis of the author's in-depth investigations, interview, and first-hand information collection, by using advanced supplychain management theory as a guide, the author analyzed the inventory management and factors of Pingzhuang Coal Croup LTD. The author used Kraljic's Matrix to classified the materials into four categories (strategic items, leverage items, bottleneck items, non-critical items) and put forward inventory management methods for each categories. For strategic items, the author established a supplier evaluation system on the basis of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. For bottleneck items, an safety inventory model is established. For leverage items, the author analyzed reasonable materials requirement process by using MRP methods. For non-critical items, corrective methods for materials supermarket is discussed.
