Studies On Status And Countermeasures Of Industry Associations Development In Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region

As the fifth mechanism of economic governance, industry association is playing the essential role in economic governance. For the past 20 years, industry association is a system to attract the attention nationwide. Along with globalization and China's entering WTO, in China, industry association plays the significant role in the development of socialism market economy, transformation of government functions and settlement of trading conflicts. Though, it's a great opportunity for the fast development of industry association in China, industry association can not fulfill the needs of social and economic development due to malpractice of planned economy system. Presently, it's been 30 years since the Reform and Opening-up. Total import and export of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region (IMAR) is increasing radically, with continue and solid implementation of "going-out" strategy. This is a new era for open economy. In addition, IMAR is benefited from the development of globalization and encountering the challenges from globalization. Hence, it has become the important topic to cultivate and develop industry association to meet the needs of social and economic development of IMAR. In order to be well prepared for the competition of globalization, the purpose of this study is to thoroughly discuss the status, functions and progress of the development of industry association in IMAR, integrating with author's personal practical experience and survey in community management, to analyze the major problems, to propose the countermeasures, and to provide the useful references and theoretical bases for the development of industry association in IMAR.
