Land use dynamic change forms major aspect and hotspot of global change on both regional and global scales. Relatively quantitative analysis and evaluation on LUCC can provide certain decision-making reference for regional land-use planning, with rapid development of society, rapid population increase and rising demand for land cause A series of ecological environment problems, such an land desertification, salinization and pasture degeneration etc. Therefore, to analyze the spatio-temporal change of land use of Xilingol, then seeked the dynamic change law of land use, to analyze ecological effects and driving force, so as to offer basis to sustainably make develop and use of Xilingol land.Based on Xilingol remote sensing data of 1975,1990,2000,2005 and 2009, using RS,GIS means, combining model analysis method, to reveal various land use type of spatial and temporal variation characteristics, change rule and regional differentiation. Based on this, discussing and researching ecological environment effects of land use changes. Then analyzes the driver factors of land use change and environmental effects from the natural environment and humane environment in two aspects. Applied Markov model to Predict the tendency of the land use change of Xilingol in future, and finally probe into the way of land sustainable utilization of Xilingol on this basis.The conclusions of this research were as follows:1. The main current land use structure in Xilingol were grass land, and the ratio reached 87.6%. The land use ratio was reaching 92.98%.2. Xilingol land use dynamic analysis, including the land use quantity and structure change, type conversion and regional variance analysis. The results showed that the land use change of Xilingol is bounded in 2000. Grassland present first decreased and then increased trends, and residents and mining land and forest land increases unceasingly, and cultivated land is first increased and then decreased trend from 1975 to 2009. In structural changes amplitude and speed, the grass biggest, but the extent of change around 2000 grass rate of change is not obvious, residents and industrial and mining land is a growing, but though state 2000 years later growth slows down, and Cultivated land in the pace of change in the before and after 2000 are no big gap. The transformation area between grassland and other land use was the most Among the LUCC transformation.Through the relative change rate of land use to reflect the regional difference. The comparative rate of cultivated land is the highest in the East WuZhuMuQinQi, and rate of forest land of TaiPuSiQi in the first, and the comparative rate of grassland and residents and mining land of erlianhot is the highest.3. water resources, land degradation, natural disasters and reform of the natural landscape are analyzed in terms of land use changes Xilingol environmental effects.4. On the influence factors of land use changes were concluded:population growth, economic development and policy factors were the main driving forces of land use change of Xilingol.5. The land use change trend analysis showed that Xilingol residents and mining land and forest land will appear quite gentle growth trend; Grassland area still is slowly increasing state; Cultivated land, water and land area has continually reduce trend,and unutilized land at the largest range among them.
