In the current situation of world economic integration, enterprises are facing both the changing domestic market competition and the challenge of global competition. Then, it is difficult for existing traditional production modes to adapt to the requirements of a company's long-term strategy. Consequently, lean production is introduced. Kanban control and management, as an important management tool in lean production, is a mean to achieve just-in-time production, as well an information systems management tactics to control the production process. Since Kanban management can make internal production logistics operation more efficient, faster, smoother and more reasonable, it is significant not only to the theory, but also to the practice to study various cases of Kanban control and management for improving and optimizing the internal production logistics.Considering the fact above, this thesis studies Kanban control in complex mixed assembly production line and Kanban based material cycling delivery methods. This thesis firstly discusses both the index design and operational performance optimization of Kanban control system in complex mixed model assembly line and does empirical analyses, the case in which shows a good effect. Then, this thesis studies Kanban based material cycling delivery methods in multi-products small and medium-sized batch production environment, and establishes detailed operational process and its mathematical model. Extra cost of early material feeding is taken into consideration in establishing the model to optimize operational parameters, including cycle time, the number of Kanban, replenishment frequency, etc. Finally, this thesis analyzes the actual production inventory status, does empirical analyses taking BSC Corporation as an example, and proves the viability of the model.
