Nowadays, accelerate internationalization, domestic and international market competition is more and more intense, the personalized needs of customers is getting higher and higher, the characteristics of many varieties of small batch production more and more obvious, automobile enterprises are no exception. And the characteristics of many varieties of medium and small batch production require the higher and higher management level to the enterprise. Most companies are in the middle of the supply chain. The customer requires constant cost down, and raw material costs is rising constantly, and personnel costs is rising, the enterprise cost pressure is the higher and higher. At the same time customer delivery cycle time is much shorter, quality requirements is much higher, obviously efficiency improvement is already the necessary means to take the current difficulties.In this paper, the author has proposed a new method based on lean thinking with the existing problems of YanFeng KSS(shanghai) Automotive Safety Systems Co., Ltd. This article, the author have researched the company’s relevant information, collected and arranged the current production data and analyzed the YFKSS problems existed in the company. We design a line equalization Based on u-shaped line. The U shaped line can improve the production performance; the balance of production rate can reach 96.7%.This article combining with the actual demand of YFKSS also design an YFKSS airbag pull production way through the Kanban management, which have also researched the future value stream map of YFKSS airbag production, at the same time assembly line balancing and Kanban management through the analysis of the whole YFKSS production system value stream. And improved the production efficiency, reduce production cost, established a relatively complete set of airbag workshop Kanban management system and implementation plan through repeated test. The improvement of the current value stream mapping to obtain higher value-added time value of the future value stream map, its value added time is promoted by only 0.0379% to 0.1705%, up 4.5 times.
