Research On The Influence Of Industrial Structure On Energy Consumption In China

Since the reform and opening , the economy of China has kept growing rapidly and the industrial structure also has changed significantly. China's economic structure has gradually developed into an industrial-oriented; the tertiary industry scale expands unceasingly. However the rapid economic development of China give a lot of pressure to the energy supply and Environment Protection.These all changed with the change of Industrial structure. This article attempts to base on the industrial structure ,use a great deal of data to study the influence of industrial structure on energy consumption in china to provide ideas and direction for the saving of energy consumption through the readjustment of industrial structure for our country .According to the target above ,this article, firstly,reviewed the Industry evolution and Energy consumption status of our country based on the relative theory of industrial structure and the energy consumption,obtained energy consumption characteristics under the current industrial structure. Secondly, according to the influence mechanism of the industrial structure to the energy expense efficiency, decomposes the influence factors of the efficiency of the energy using by using the factor decomposition model into the structure share and the efficiency share, in order to studies the impact of the efficiency of the energy using from the industrial structure change.After these analyses,we get the conclusion : different industries corresponding to different energy consumption, the current status of China's industrial lead to a higher level of energy consumption, but also determines the low efficiency of energy use, although in recent years, China's energy consumption intensity has grew increasingly,But still lags far behind Western countries.The factor decomposition tells us, compared with the structure, efficiency, to increase the efficiency of energy use by the shares of the efficiency are at the dominant position, namely, the technological advances within the industry played a major role in the reduce of energy consumption , is also the main reason for reducing energy intensity. The role of the industrial structure is not prominent or even has a positive effect.This shows that China's current industrial structure is not conducive to reduce China's energy consumption, irrational industrial structure, the task of optimize the industrial structure is arduous. Finally, through established the VAR model study the dynamic impact function from various industries output to the energy expense. Through cooperates the entire examination analysis, we know our country's industrial structure and the total quantity of energy expense has the long-term balanced relations.Establishment of the impulse response and variance decompositions obtained that the industry played the most obvious role on the energy consumption, and is the greatest impact industry on total energy consumption from the whole industry. To the long term, the current status of China's industrialization determines the over-reliance on energy consumption. The first industry has the positive impact to the energy consumption, but the contribution is the smallest, the characteristics of agriculture itself, determines its smaller impact on energy consumption, with the development of tertiary industry, consumer demand for energy will be gradually reduced.Based on the above findings, to make the thought of industrial optimization and reduce energy consumption through the characteristics of energy consumption of the present stage of the internal industrial structure.
