With the development of the global economy, the energy constraint on sustainable economic development is increasingly evident, this led countries around the world paid more attention to the developments in the field of energy. Under the general rule, input elements and economic growth showed changes in the same direction between the two affect each other. The growth of energy consumption, promote economic growth, while rapid economic growth, in turn drive the growth of energy. In China since the reform and opening up, economic growth pattern appears to reverse the high energy input, in the field of industry and heavy industry, this phenomenon is more obvious, which is contrary to the energy policy "to take a new road to industrialization". Anhui Province is no exception, heavy industry, especially iron, steel industry and automobiles are the high energy consumption. Anhui is based on the rough style of development. Continue to develop, not only exacerbated the contradiction between energy supply and demand in Anhui, as well as threatening China's energy security. Therefore, adjusts the relationship between energy consumption and economic growth, as well as changes in energy consumption patterns in Anhui Province, has been urgent to study for Anhui. With regard to the relationship of economic growth and energy consumption, it has been the world's concern in the seventies since the outbreak of the energy crisis. On this issue will affect the results of different studies can be national policy, but this study because of differences in research methods to study the different objects have not been conclusive. Most of the foreign literature from the energy consumption and economic growth causality study, national experts to use more time-series methods to study it.Author believes that, the impact of energy consumption on economic growth is complex, ranging from one-sided research is very one-sided. From the time series to study the relationship between energy consumption and economic growth, reflect the general trend of energy consumption, also determine the relationship between the total energy consumption and economic growth. From the analysis the relationship between the energy consumption structure of energy consumption and economic growth, specific energy can be drawn on the economic impact, this will help to make the adjustment of. the industrial structure.Adopted recent research methods not only from native but also from abroad, first used time series analysis of energy consumption and economic growth in Anhui Province, the relationship between the specific use of the Granger causality analysis to study the causal relationship between the two. From the energy structure consumption, we analyzes the relationship between the structure of energy consumption and economic growth. Using gray correlation analysis, analysis of coal, coke, crude oil, fuel oil, gasoline, diesel, electricity seven indicators and economic growth, the size of the correlation, identified most closely associated with economic growth of energy. Through the research we find: Total energy consumption in Anhui Province and Anhui Province's GDP has maintained the basic synchronized development trend, and the unit GDP energy consumption and gradually reduced; there is a one-way causal relationship between Anhui energy consumption and economic growth, and energy consumption in Anhui Province greatly contributed to economic growth; From a structural point of view, consumption of coal and electricity is a major driving force in Anhui; new energy development and application in Anhui are inadequate.
