As the requests on green, low carbon, energy saving and environmental protection in China's economic development are more and more important, refining industry which is the country's highest energy-hungry is facing increasing pressure to energy saving. This industry must make rational and efficient use of advanced production technology to have full use of waste heat generated in the production process. Therefore, such businesses can reduce energy consumption and improve economic and social benefits which have important significance.The paper analyzes the progress the project which makes use of low-temperature waste heat at home and abroad. Combined with the utilization of low temperature heat and the post-evaluation work of low temperature geothermal projects in the current refining industry, the paper emphasizes the importance of energy cascade utilization, in accordance with the combination of low temperature level for heat effective, which can help the projects achieve the aim of the rational and optimize use of energy. Paper analyzes low temperature heat project's construction and operation in Dagang Petrochemical Company. It makes use of "project before and after" analysis of the whole process of the project evaluation and successful degree method using a comprehensive evaluation of the project to get the evaluation conclusions. Through the entire process project evaluation of low temperature geothermal project in Dagang Petrochemical Company, the result indicates that the project's construction and operation are efficient and have met the design requirements; through the degree method which is applied to analyze the success of the project, the evaluation rating is excellent.Through the system post-evaluation of low-temperature geothermal projects in Dagang Petrochemical Company, the work is able to fully tap the potential for future refinery and make rational use of low-temperature thermal project of this industry. The paper provides good ideas for energy saving and at the same time, the lessons learned and the detailed summary of information feedback can provide a good reference for future investment and construction of energy saving projects.
