The level of oil-gas exploration management is directly related to its effectiveness and efficiency. Strengthen the management and control of oil-gas exploration project and improve the operating efficiency of all sectors of exploration is conducive to orderly carry out exploration work and improve exploration efficiency. In recent years, oil companies implement project management on domestic and international oil-gas exploration project. Although they have received expected results, there are still many problems affecting the further improvement of management and economic efficiency. This topic is based on this background.This article considers the oil-gas exploration project as a research object. On the basis of lots of national and foreign literature and the research of some oil companies, it reviews the status of domestic and international oil-gas exploration project management control, point out the problems in the project management control, and analysis the necessarily of research on management control of oil-gas exploration project. Then we summarize the management processes of two most important projects-geophysical and drilling projects, design management control index system of project plan, tendering and contracting, project implementation, which combine the schedule control, quality control, cost control and HSE control, and establish the evaluation methods of various stages due to their characteristic. Meanwhile, we choose some main technical and economic indicators to conduct management feedback and performance appraisal from design to implementation of the two projects above. Finally we provide some measures for smooth running of the research.
