Study On Evaluation And Selection Of Suppliers Based On Large Equipment Manufacturing Industry

As China has successfully joined the WTO, a revolution in business management has been launched, JIT, agile manufacturing and dynamic corporate alliances etc. has become the new competitive model and development model. The concept of supply chain has also developed from the internal supply chain in the early 1980s to the present stage of the supply chain network structure——emphasis on the bi-tree network systems as the center of the core business. As the source of the entire supply chain, suppliers play a vital role on supply chain performance. Based on the characteristics of large equipment manufacturing industry, this paper proposes the idea of supplier closed-loop management, supplier access evaluation index system, and supplier performance evaluation index system.First, the paper introduces the source, background, and significance of research, the actuality at home and abroad in the index system of supplier evaluation, and the methods of supplier evaluation and selection. Secondly, this paper describes strategic significance of large equipment manufacturing industry in the national economy construction, analysis of characteristics of raw material supply of large equipment manufacturing, supply chain operations reference model, and points out that good operation of supply chain is based on the correct evaluation of supplier selection. Through the analysis of important factors which affect supplier evaluation and selection of large equipment manufacturing industry, this paper points out the principle of supplier evaluation index system, and the idea of supplier closed-loop management.Again, this paper analyzes supplier access evaluation characteristics of large equipment manufacturing industry, points out supplier access evaluation index system and various index measurements. Because of the gray feature of the supplier access evaluation index system, points out supplier access evaluation gray correlation degree model of large equipment manufacturing industry. Also, this paper analyzes supplier performance evaluation characteristics of large equipment manufacturing industry, takes reasonable classification of suppliers from supply risk and business influence——strategic supplier, level supplier, bottleneck supplier, and trading supplier. Points out supplier performance evaluation index system which applicable to various supplier types using AHP and reasonable supplier performance evaluation index measurement based on supplier daily performance.Finally, this paper discusses the practical application of supplier evaluation and selection in Shanghai Electric Power Generation Equipment CO., LTD. Shanghai Generator Works, and also presents some directions for further research.
