AHP Used In Supplier Selection In A Company

To select one supplier with reasonable price,skilled technology,good quality and in-time delivery is very important for a company.Especially by the condition of the supplier chain management.A good supplier means good competitiveness.Thus,more and more factors were taken into account in the vendor evaluation system.In this paper,I firstly introduce the importance to select the excellent suppliers,the method of select the supplier,supplier evaluation procedure,and the supplier evaluation index system.The AHP is widely used in many areas.For example in the agriculture,technology,natural science,management science etc.We use the AHP model to solve the practical problem.In this thesis,we use it to solve the supplier selection problem in A company.We learn the theory,model,step and calculation in the second part.Since the AHP is liable to solve the multi-objective programming model,we established a generic practicable index system for supplier selection and evaluation for A company.We use it in A company to solve the supplier selection for the affect factors for example: price,quality,technology,service,delivery etc.According to the history and background of the company,current situation of the company and the problem the company meet,we set up the related data.We use the model of the AHP to analyze the problem in A Company and hereafter,we get the solution.We can tell the excellent supplier and the unqualified supplier by the result of the AHP and choose the qualified supplier and delete the un-qualified ones.
