Based on the analysis of the structure and characteristics of the supplychain of HS Corporation, this thesis studies an important problem in thesupply chain, namely the management of procurement lead time. In thissupply chain, there is a conflict between the delivery time customer orderand the lead time of manufacturing process due to the special features ofcomponents procurement, manufacturing processes and customer demand.This incurs higher and higher cost of the supply chain. Built on thesystematic and in-depth analysis of the supply chain, the thesis develops asolution based on business process reengineering and optimization ofcomponents inventory. The numerical computations using real data showthat the solution is effective and practical. |
