The Study On Tourism Eco-innovation

Tourism is often known as the sunrise industry. But entering the 21st century, its issues ofenvironmental, social, economic have been seen. The short-term economic benefit is irreparable tothe environment damage and the future of tourism. In order to solve environmental problems,ecological innovation is jived to a great deal of attention in recent years. It refers to create newartificial ecosystems by the way to the adoption of eco-technology innovation. If eco-innovation isused to tourism, it can improve the quality of the environment. It also can enhance the tourismeconomy and operate the efficiency and social efficiency.The study on tourism eco-innovation is divided into three pacts:1)the tourism eco- innovation is explained.2)tourism eco-innovative is quantitatively analyzed. The introducing of pressure - state -response system (the system PSR), the using of entropy weight method and the ways of principalcomponent cluster analysis instrument, a tourism eco-innovation evaluation index system is set.Based on the index data in 2006, its result is jived.3)selecting Guilin tourism eco-innovation as a case, both macro-and micro-analysis of thebehavior of eco-innovation is made.4)it is the tourism eco-innovation strategy.Through the above-mentioned study, the following conclusions are jived:1) Tourism eco-innovation means through a variety of factors and conditions, its actorsminimizes the investment of the resources and ecological environment, and gains the greatestbenefits of tourism activities. Tourism eco-innovation includes four aspects, which are ecotechnologyinnovation, eco-organizational innovation, green innovation and eco-conceptinnovation.2) On the overall, China's tourism eco-innovation's capability is poor. Provinces beingrelatively high level are Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai and Tibet. Provinces being relatively low inNingxia, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Guangxi, Shanxi, Gansu, Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang and Jilin.Relatively high level of eco-innovation areas is mainly located in eastern coastal areas. Theseareas have the advantage of tourism economy, environmental protection, research and education.3) Tourism eco-innovation is difficult. Guilin is an example. From 1973 to date, tourism ecoinnovativedevelopment is hindered by the city location, poor management system, a shortage offunds and disorderly competition and so on.4)the tourism eco-innovation strategy is the advice. Tourism practitioners eco-innovationskills, their eco-ethical concepts, and Organizational innovation in eco-tourism, should beenhanced. Environmental protection subsidies and incentives should be improved. The ecologicalprotection planning should be designated. Environmental protection materials and tools should berationally used and so on.
