| Energy is an essential material resource for the development of human society. With rapid growth of China's economic, China's energy consumption is also growing. Possession of less energy per capita, energy inefficient, irrational energy structure has become a bottleneck for economic development. In the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan", China put forward the target that by 2010 we should reduce the energy consumption in unit GDP by 20%, but the result is not ideal, we are facing the grim situation of energy saving. Reduce the unit GDP energy consumption, improve energy efficiency, will be the protection of sustainable economic development and social stability.This article analyzes the energy efficiency in China from different angles and using different methods. First, this article analyzes the energy efficiency of China's provinces and cities by using single-factor energy efficiency and total-factor energy efficiency evaluation methodology. Then, this article divides our country into six regions and compares the energy efficiency of the various regions. Finally this article analyzes the energy efficiency of Tianjin chiefly. In this section, this article analyze the energy efficiency of Tianjin in different years by using single-factor energy efficiency and total-factor energy efficiency evaluation methodology, and then this article analyze the factors affecting the energy efficiency of Tianjin.This study shows that China's energy efficiency is uneven and there is great gap between different provinces. The energy consuming of East and south China is efficient and that of Northwest and Southwest China is inefficient. Tianjin's energy efficiency has been increasing, but relatively slow in recent years. Economic development, industrial structure, openness and ownership structure are the major factors in energy efficiency in Tianjin. Speed up economic development and adjust the industrial structure and energy consumption structure are the main ways to improve the energy efficiency of Tianjin. |
