Currently, the management of workers in manufacturing enterprises in Guangdong Province has presented many urgent problems. Analysis from the perspective of compensation shows that the compensation packages provided by manufacturing enterprises in Guangdong Province for the production-line operators can not meet the complex demands of current salary and also can't conform to the trend that modern compensation theory is developing to the direction of human development. According to utility theory, we know that we can make compensation utility maximization by meeting the individual needs of workers under the limitation of the total cost in compensation. Therefore, the study of compensation elements preference for manufacturing workers is necessary.From the perspective of compensation, the paper selected manufacturing production-line operators as the study objects, and focused on the compensation elements preference of workers and the influence to it from different backgrounds, with the way of both literature analysis and empirical analysis. On this basis, the paper summed up a figure divided into five parts about the compensation elements preference of workers, in order to provide a reference for manufacturing enterprises in Guangdong Province to resolve the tight employment problem, make compensation policies, and expand the ideas for manufacturing enterprises to make human management for worker.The main conclusions of this paper include: there is a big gap between workers'overall motivation level of compensation and workers' preference degree to the compensation elements in manufacturing enterprises in Guangdong Province; background variables, such as individual differences of workers and the differences in their enterprises, etc, will have a significant impact on the preference to compensation elements of workers and the overall motivation level of compensation.
