ZTE Corporzation at present is undergoing an intense competition both in and outside China. And, now, how to win out in such circumstances by making good use of its technological advantages has become an urgent problem pressing for solution. Because corporzation is employing research team to enhance its performance, the evaluation of its result becomes very urgent. In this way, the team is enabled to become aware of its competing status and limitations, and assess promptly how well its strategic objectives have been attained. As a result, the company will be well rewarded.This article takes the Xi'an Institute Of ZTE corporzation as a research sample, and, based on results of theoretical studies and statistics, it has redesigned the R&D Team Performance Appraisal system of the institute by using a level analysis method. In addition, with the combined help of qualitative and quantitative approaches, the paper has also solved the problems of unvaried index and subjectivity in the old system. Having organically combined the new appraisal index system and the institute's strategic objectives, the new method attaches importance not only to the appraisal results of operation but also to its process; and, at the same time, brings out speedy feedbacks and performance improvement.
