The Research On Evaluation Of Human Settlements' Quality And The Optimization In Changchun

Enhancing the construction of the urban human settlements is the inevitable trend as the regional economy develops. With the quickening paces of industrialization and urbanization, as the spatial carrier where population, economy, technology, information, culture, institution, and so on, are highly agglomerated, the metropolitan is profoundly affected by social and economic activities, and facing a lot of threats about human settlements, such as pollution, traffic, criminals, infectious diseases, especially the problems of safety spaces, which causes more and more attraction to the quality of urban living space. So that, the optimization of urban human settlements, which is caused by the growing residents' physical and energetic needs, has been the important part of construction of city competitive ability and urban sustainability. Therefore, it is of great significance to promote the development of urban economy and enhance the competition of the city by studying and putting forward strategies to optimize the urban human settlements.This paper not only combines the normal research with empirical research but also combines the method of qualitative with the quantitative. Taking the Changchun, one of the metropolitan in China Northeast, for example, it covers the sustainable ability and the bettering measures of human settlements of Changchun on the basis of evaluating the index system of constructing human settlements through the theory of regional economics, the science of human settlements, sociology, ecological economics, the theory of sustainable development, and so on. It can be divided into four parts:In the introductory chapter, after illustrating the implications of related concepts, the paper makes summary of related theory and demonstrates the significance of the research on the urban human settlements.In the second part, it studies the construction of the sustainability index system and the method of evaluating the sustainability of the urban human settlements. According to the location characters of the researched region and the construction principles of the index system, this part constructs the evaluating index system and determines the method.Adopting the practical measure, the third part takes Changchun for instance, analyses the changing regularities of the levels of the urban settlements, urban ecological environment, public infrastructure, development level of this city, the sustainability of the human settlements in Changchun and dissects the existing problems of the human settlements construction in Changchun.At last, this paper gives constructive proposals about bettering the human settlements and...
