Employee career development is a new theory and concept for human resource management. It is based on the latest stimulation theory, and focus on the harmonious development between individual and company. Some large- scale companies of the well developed countries in Europe and America scored excellent achievements in establishing and executing this policy. Some companies in China are also undertaking the instructive research and trial.Career development theory is brought by several stimulation theories. In modern companies, intellectuals are open and moving. Creating active and inspiring environment and helping the employees exert their talents to the society and company are the main contents of human resources management. Among the changeable social economical conditions, the key to competition is the human diathesis. A company should care about the employees and provide them the opportunity to develop, support them to realize the career target. So if a company wants to train, attract and keep the intellectuals, the career development of the employees should be emphasized.Combining the company development strategy and culture, the career development theory is stated in this paper. According to the employees diathesis and current situation in Lianyuan Steel, it is studied that Lianyuan Steel will face severe competition but the human resources development and management are very weak, so a found environment for employee career development should be established by career development design, management, channel and a complete system, to increase the core competence and core unity of the company, and finally to pursuit for the common development of company and employees.
