Study On The Development Of Timeshare Industry Both In China And Abroad

Timeshare was originated in Europe in 1960s. After nearly 50 years' development, itbecomes an acceptable way all over the world for people to spend vacation holidays.Meanwhile, timeshare industry now is the fastest-growing segment in tourism sector.In 1997, the first timeshare company was set up in China and this event symbolizedthe beginning of timeshare industry in China. In the comparison with the great successgained by some foreign countries, the general situation of timeshare industry in Chinais still at the beginning stage so far. Under this background, this thesis summarizesand compares the characteristics of timeshare industry both in China and abroad.Analyzing the environmental conditions now we have for the development oftimeshare industry. Finally, on the basis of above analysis, the thesis put forwardseveral countermeasures on how to develop timeshare industry in China in thereference to the successful experience that most foreign countries have.
