A Study On The Development Of The Rural-Urban Fringe Of Huhhot City

Today the research on fringe area between city and country becomes one of major subjects in Regional economics. The rural-urban fringe is a special area where the ingredients of city and country transform and their function are complementary. The rural-urban fringe is a key to make city and country be harmonious.The paper tries to study both spatial structure and economic advancement in the rural-urban fringe. Firstly it tries to study the process of Huhhot rural-urban fringe's expanding, then it identifies the boundary of the region in Huhhot .At last it points out problems in the process of development in rural-urban fringe of Huhhot.Huhhot is the capital of Inner Mongolia province .The development of rural-urban fringe has a lot of problems there. To find these problems and try to solve them is significant.This paper has three parts.At first, it summarizes the accomplishments of other research .Then it summarizes the theories about the research. They are the basis of the follow study.Secondly, we investigates the rural-urban fringe, and introduces the process of rural-urban fringe's expanding in Huhhot, then it identifies the boundary of the rural-urban fringe of Huhhot.Thirdly, it analyzes the problems of economic development in rural-urban fringe of Huhhot and gives some suggestion.
