Research On The Process Of Integrated Logistics Service Base On The Workflow

Facing the trend of integrated logistics, the paper, from the point of the third party logistics (TPL), discusses what the integrated logistics service is, points out that ability resource and service resource have been integrated by the horizontal and lengthways alliances of integrated logistics and come into being the logistics chain, which is composed of the function chain and organization chain. To successfully operate the chain of integrated logistics service and realize the coordinated goal, the TPL companies, as the operation main body, must construct the processes system of integrated logistics service.The processes of integrated logistics service are inter-organization processes on the base of the virtual enterprises (VE). The paper, according to the process characters, which include mobility, complexity and integration, puts forward originality constructing of the processes of integrated logistics service by the role theoretics. In the course of operation of the processes of integrated logistics service, specific and significant data can be got by the performance evaluation of the processes with the three indexes such as the moving time, moving rate and stock. Afterward, the corresponding strategy of the process management can be adopted, including process criterion, process optimizing or the business process reengineering (BPR).The paper brings forward that the use of the workflow technology in the process can ensure the effective operation and also can keep the improvements made by the process innovation. As the inter-organization system and the single-organization system have the different characteristics, different modeling strategies are adopted in the paper. The role-based method is applied into the former to define the model, and the procedure-based method in the latter. Subsequently, integrated frame based on Web and CORBA solves the problems of interlinkage and mutual operation for the different workflow management systems. Finally, the paper gives emphasis to the important role of the workflow management system again by the discussion of its problems existing in the operation and management.
