As China has been admitted to the World Trade Organization (WTO), the freight forward agency market of China is gradually opening. While the freight forward agents of China are sharing more opportunities brought from participating in the division and coordination of international and domestic freight forwards business, they are facing the unprecedented competition threats from the same trade at home and abroad simultaneously. How to make the international freight forward agent improve their competition strength in the new environment, and achieve a transformation to be a modern logistics enterprises? This is a great strategic subject that most international shipping agency enterprises are facing.LZ Company has a 41- year managing history as an old state-own enterprise; and the tough problem needing to solve is that, how to seize opportunities to achieve the transition from traditional business mode to modern logistics business management while solving the historic problems in today's rapid development of national economy, and carve out its own way in this competitive environment.This thesis, based on theory of strategy management, studying the whole freight forward agency trade and market as well as the internal management mechanism of LZ Company itself, by using the EFE, IFE, SWOT and SPACE matrix analyses, combining the method of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, this thesis chiefly analyze the factors which influence the company directly, and puts forward the strategy and some corresponding implement schemes for the development of this company. These schemes provide some references for the smooth development of the company and its operation.
