In-situ rural-urban transformation of rural areas is a new form of urbanization in developing country.It is beyond the urban-rural dichotomy,and the related studies are meaningful and important for us to re-explore the way of urbanization and regional development.McGee's paradigm of extended metropolitan areas, Zhu Yu's study of In-situ urbanization in China and other people's study about urbanization of China's countryside since 1980, provide a base for my study.My thesis selects Jinjing as research area.It reveals the recent development of In-situ Urbanization in Jinjiang, answering questions which preceding study leave,contributing to the study in this field.Firstly,I obtain the characteristics of In-situ Urbanization in Jinjiang through analyzing the read of the remote sensed data and some maps and tables.Secondly,It reveals the underlying causes of In-situ Urbanization in Jinjiang.Thirdly, it finds some existing questions and gives some advices accordingly to my field work and survey.fourthly, It has theoretical and policy implications from the study.
