City logistics serves cities'economic development, optimizes goods communication and co-ordinates with regional economic development. It is the basis and supporting system of the development of the city. Rational development of city logistics improves the economy, conformity and image of a city; thus brings relative industries, increases employments and strengthens the competitiveness of a city. So the rise of city logistics is an important trend in the development for a city in 21 century; city logistics development is an inevitable choice for the sustainable development of a city.The first charpter of the dissertation explains the definitions and interrelated theories on city logistics. Review the development of logistics research home and abroad systematically, and then puts forward the contents and techniques. The second charpter generalizes the development in Wuhu City macroscopically, uses canonical correlation analysis to research the interactive relationahip between city logistics and economy, and then the explores the logistics motivation mechanism in Wuhu City form commerce, industry transport, logistics techniques and administration, etc. The third charpter gives a specific analysis of the present state of logistics and transport structure in Wuhu City, measures and caculates the freight volume in advance. The forth charpter estimates the function and position of logistics in Wuhu City from the view of regional logistics (research into its neighboarity cities). The fifth charpter explores the strategy of logistics developmene from transport networks, logistics venture and space strategy. The sixth charpter gives a summary of the whole article and improves it.
