In order to meet the need of mordern land resource management and make the full use of our land, taking Qianjiang city in Hubei Province as the sample study area, we established Land Ecological Environmental Assessment Information System (LEEAIS), using some theories and methods such as geographic informatin system, remote sensing, mathematical statistics and spatial analysis model. With LEEAIS, we get the ecological environment quality grades of the land in Qianjiang City. Combining ecological environmental qulity results with the agricultural land quality evaluation results, we discuss the relativity between them. The main works are as follows:1 Establishment of Land Ecological Environment Assessment Information System for Land Resource ManagementThe theories and methods of establishing LEEAIS for Land Resource Management are discussed. Based on the facts of the sample area, the system consisted by database, module base and method base is established. Database includes spatial database and attributive database, the external attributive data can be matched with the internal attributive data by user identification code. The module base includes Analytical Hierarchy Program (AHP) module, Data Standardization module, Fuzzy Evaluation module, Numeric elevation module, Buffering Analysis module, Layout Export module, etc. The method base is established by VB language in Object-Oriented way. It includes essential mathematic functions and arithmetic. This system can support data-inquiry,data-searching, and accomplish land ecological and environment spatial analysis or simulation.2 Land ecological and environment quality evaluation in Qianjiang CityBased on Analytical Hierarchy Program (AHP) and D-S-R model, the index system of land ecological and environment quality assessment is established. Utilizing "3S" and database technology, the image pretreatment of extracting RS information, the NDVI extracting, the information extracting of sight diversity and soil humidity, the buffer analysis, and the analysis of folding dates have been made. Finally, the comprehensive assessment has been done. Results are that, five classes of the land ecological and environment quality are ensured. The percents of the five classes are 9.36%, 24.31%, 37.74%, 21.35% and 7.42% respectively.
