The cultivated land is one of the most precious resources in the world. The national food security were deeply affected by the quantity and quality of cultivated land. The middle and low yield field take the large proportion in the cultivated land resources in our country, and the constant depth of land remediation become an important way to improve the cultivated land quality and ensure national grain safety. Hence, it is necessary and significant to carry out the research on the improvement of the cultivated land quality.Firstly, based on the ‘Agricultural land natural level-Dominant factor’ theoretical model,this paper developed an analysis of cultivated land quality restriction factors in land consolidation areas. Secondly, based on principles of techno-economy, the index system has been built which have effect on the choosing of the land consolidation technology. Thirdly,the relevant research on the disposition optimization of the land consolidation technologies were conducted in this paper by using network planning and above-mentioned methods.Finally, the paper take the land consolidation area in Zhongjiang county of Sichuan province as empirical study area.The results showed:(1) On the basis above, the special technologies and requisite projects were summarized and introduced in the land consolidation engineering technology system. The techniques include the deep scarification, soil dressing, organic manure fertilizer application and other targeted technologies that can improve the condition of effective soil layer thickness, the surface soil texture, organic matter content and other limiting factors of cultivated land quality.By mixing with traditional land consolidation, this paper formed alternative technology solutions of cultivated land quality improvement.(2) Based on principles of techno-economy, the index system has been built which have effect on the choosing of the land consolidation technology in terms of technology and economy. The empirical analysis verified the feasibility of the technology selection indexes.(3) Firstly, based on the results of the analysis on limiting factors and the selection of techniques, we optimized the spatial layout of the land consolidation engineering technologies.Then, the construction structure chart of land consolidation in project area was drawn by using network panning method. Then we chose the critical path, optimized sequence combination and the time period of land consolidation project construction.The results showed that the targeted consolidation measures could fully reflect the promotion of the cultivated land quality before and after land consolidation projects, theaverage promotion of the physical quality grade was 0.90 grades and the average promotion of the utilized quality grade was 0.70 grades.The research content in this paper can not only enrich land consolidation engineering technology system, but also provide technical support for land consolidation to improve the quality of cultivated land. In addition to, the result can guide technology selection and spatial layout and time period optimization allocation in land consolidation projects in practice and constantly promote quality construction work of cultivated land in land consolidation to carry out.
