Study On Impetus Mechanism Of Consumer Behavior In Tourism

Nowadays, tourism is described as the biggest industry in the world and is recognized as a major source of employment and prosperity. From 25 million international tourist arrivals worldwide in 1950 there are now more than 700 million international arrivals each year. In 2001, for China alone there were nearly 90 million arrivals and China has become one of major receivers of world tourism.The development of tour industry should attach importance to different behavior of consumer, because the tour activity relates to the whole development of tour industry. The tourist behavior usually presents some kinds of behavior mode under the influence of many internal reasons and external reasons. Behavior should have its impetus mechanism. Therefore, it is helpful for finding many regulations from tourist behavior. Then, we can carry on some specialized design to the target consumer, and use proper product to satisfy their needs. This paper tries to investigate the internal behavior energizers through the external behavior of tourist, such as decision behavior, purchase behavior, selection behavior etc. The study combined many theories of subjects such as tourist behavioral science, philosophy, psychology, sociology etc.This paper can be divided into four parts as follows:The first part is the introduction. It mainly elaborates the study of domestic and abroad on tourist behavior, and the researching content, thinking, method and significance.The second part mostly introduces the theory of this research. Firstly, this paper carries on elucidation to the establishment of the tourist behavior' impetus mechanism theories. This study uses a theory of system and treated the tourist as "system man". His behaviors will suffer inevitably the impact of oneself factors and alien environment factors. Then, author treats the psychology factors as a system of the internal mind, which is internal impetus of behaviors. This system is constituted by system of nature mind and system of society mind. I think the nature system is the original impetus. The system of society mind constitutes by philosophy of life, value, cognition, preference, interesting, attitude, motive etc. They are a basic impetus of person's behavior. Motive has an important contribution to behavior in tourism, so it is treated as a direct impetus.
