Worldwide reform of information technologies has a significant influence on the global economy and culture. In the 21st century, information is one of the main resources in the knowledge-based society and the information service is the key impetus to the progress of society and economy. Since the implementation of open-door policy in China, great progress has been witnessed in construction industry, benefiting from the application of information technologies. However, the development of the information service in China is much lagging behind compared with the requirement of the industrialization of information services. The status of the information services can't meet the demand of modernization of construction industry, and meanwhile the industrialization of information services is the only way to realize the return of investment in informaliation in construction industry by providing value-added services. Now, there is a lack of the theoretical research in industrialization of information services in construction industry. In developing information services in construction industry, the service sectors and companies are blind to their own future due to the lack of proper theories. Thus, the research in the theories of information service industrialization will be a great help to the sustainable development of service sectors and companies. In this thesis, the status quo of the information services in construction industry is deeply investigated and the main obstacles preventing the service development are identified. Then, the market mechanism, financial mechanism and cooperation mechanism are analyzed respectively, by investigating the relevant problems confronted during the course of information service industrialization. On the basis of the theoretical analysis, the input-output analysis of information services is introduced and the gray forecasting model is successfully constructed and tested to show the development tendency of information service profits in construction industry. Finally, the Analytical Hierarchical Process is employed in performing a comprehensive assessment of the risk factors in developing information services in construction industry. Through the assessment, the five factors, which are most likely to bring risks, are identified and the corresponding risk-prevention measures are further proposed.
