The Strategy Study Of Accelerating Tourism Development Of The ReBAM Of Chengdu

As is well known, China is experiencing a rapid conversion from sightseeing tourism to vocation tourism in recent years, Recreational Belt around Metropolis (ReBAM), which has special regional characteristics and well environment has become the preferred destination chosen by citizens. The situation becomes the major trend in tourism development around the cities and it has caught more and more attentions from many researchers.Professor WU Bi-hu is the first one who defined ReBAM. To satisfy the citizen's need of recreation, the facilities, places, and space of recreation has mushroomed around the metropolis. These facilities and places together with the destination of out comers have formed the ReBAM.Under the circumstances of urbanization and industrialization, the great demands on recreational consumption at close quarters, the mutual effect differential land rent and the cost, the governmental policy and the well resource are the main factors that forming ReBAM.Based on theory of tourism circle and the distance from the urban district, the ReBAM of Chengdu is divided into three circles and then the author discussed the current situation of each circle. The first circle mainly develops eco-agricultural and leisure- sightseeing tourism. The second circle develops agricultural tourism, MICE tourism, religion-pilgrimage and nature sightseeing tourism. The third circle mainly develops sightseeing tourism and spending holidays on resorts in this circle progresses at a rapid rate.According to the current situation of the ReBAM of Chengdu, the author pointed out some problems existing in the development of the ReBAM. The first problem is that the tourism resource distributes imbalance and make use of it at a low level. The second problem includes that tourism product structure is very single; there is a lack of excellent tourism products; sales promotions don't make a good effect. The third problem is that urbanization and industrialization have a bad impact on rural landscape and artificial landscape can't attracte citizens. The forth problem is that traffic basic facilities constructions and comprehensive service facilities have lot problems. The last problem concludes that the tourism management of the ReBAM of Chengdu is distempered; The ReBAM of Chengdu is short of professional person with ability; some of tourists and dealers pollute environments at will.At last part of the article, the author gave some suggestions and assumption of the development of the ReBAM of Chengdu. At the first, the author pointed out that the government should make an integrated plan on the resource of the ReBAM of Chengdu and make good use of the resource. Secondly, the author thought that tourism products should be more and new and take good advantage of sales promotion. Thirdly the author put forward that traffic basic facilities and comprehensive service facilities should be constructed more and more to satisfy citizens'needs. Fourthly, the author reckoned on that the government should make a progress on management; Chengdu should speed up the training of the tourism talented; Tourism of the ReBAM of Chengdu should keep on continuable development. Finally, the author considered that he agriculture tour and culture tour should be exploited in different mode and different circles should adopt different development strategy.New point of this text is that based on current ReBAM's study, the author analyzed the cause of the ReBAM of Chengdu and held out the specific measures of tourism development of it, which has its superior suggestiveness.
