Input-Output Analysis Of Zhejiang's Timber Processing And Furniture Manufacturing

With the input-output table of 2002 &1997, this thesis makes the input-output analysis of Zhejiang's timber processing and furniture manufacturing (TPFM)2 based on input-output technology.First of all, the author makes an in-depth dissection to the industrial characteristics of the TPFM from the angle of input and utilization structure. At present, the input and utilization structure have the following features:(1) TPFM is of labor intensive, low added-value rate with little technology involved. (2) Competition and cooperation co-exist in the TPFM. But the inside collaboration within this industry has decreased. (3) The TPFM product use now has a transferring tendency: transferring from Tertiary Industry to Primary Industry, to Secondary Industry, and, to other provinces. (4) The close economically-related sectors with TPFM include Agriculture, Chemical Industry, Wholesale & Retail Industry, Construction, and Other Manufacturing Industries.Secondly, the author again dissects the TPFM industrial features from a new angle of Industrial relationship, through careful calculation of a series of industrial-relation effects and industrial-spread effects. Analyses show that TPFM has the following"industrial relationship"features:(1) TPFM is the type industry of intermediate product.
