On Risk Management Of Consumer Credit In Chinese Commercial Bank

The core competitive capability of modern commercial bank is risk management. With the increasing proportion of the consumer credit in the whole loan business, the risk becomes more and more serious. At present, it begins to endanger the development of the commercial banking. The relevant study of the risk management is still in an exploration stage. When China banking will fully open to world in the end of 2006, how to analyze risk, how to find the origin of the risk and how to strengthen consumer credit risk management to increase the return and decrease the loss, have become urgent tasks. The thesis includes three parts.Firstly, the first two chapters are the basis of the paper. Chapter one give an overview of the research background, purpose and significance, ideas and methods, and the mighty innovations, analyses the research results of consumer credit risk management. Chapter two introduces the concept, characteristics and types of consumer credit, focus on the development of consumer credit in our country and analyses the status quo.Secondly, chapter three and chapter four analyses the risk and risk management in Chinese commercial bank. Chapter three discusses the performance and reasons of consumer credit risk, analyses the harm which the risk can cause for the commercial bank. Chapter four outlines the content of credit risk management, and found some problems of consumer credit risk management in Chinese commercial bank through analyzing the current situation.At last, the final part is the point of the paper. It put forwards a risk management model and some specific countermeasures to improve the risk management of consumer credit in Chinese commercial bank.
