The Research Of Inventory Management Issue Of WPG China

This paper focuses on the supply chain inventory management of a single electronics distributor……WPG China, combines the actual investigation and literature inquiry, the theory and the practice, the ration and the nature, from the point to the line, from the line to the surface, then makes the final conclusion of this paper.This dissertation is composed of five chapters. Firstly this paper makes a simple presentation of WPG and emphasizes the necessity of the inventory management study because inventory management becomes the core competency. Secondly analyzes and summarizes the existing and the trend of supply chain inventory management, then compare different modes of inventory management, point out and compare their strengths and weaknesses, after that describes the ration and the nature of the inventory management, on this basis brings forward three key performance indexes of inventory management, that is order cycle time, inventory reduction and asset utilization. In the third chapter, this paper analyzes the current status of the inventory management of WPG China, indicates the different modes of inventory management, lead time, inventory turn ratios, stock asset utilization from various angles. Then the paper points out the current gaps compared with the benchmarking and finds out the problems existed in the inventory management of WPG. Later the dissertation puts forward the trend and programming from different views such as adjusting the organization structure, perfecting the modes of inventory management, the strategies of inventory management and implementing electronics inventory management to improve the inventory management performances, on this basis makes the conclusion that WPG China should establish strategic collaboration relationship with all the partners of supply chain to obtain the inventory management optimization at the last chapter, from the case study of WPG China we can infer the application of optimizing inventory management in the electronics manufacturing industries.
