Studies On Influence And Countermeasure Of Social Barrier In International Trade To China's Foreign Trade

After China entered World Trade Organization(WTO), the tariff barrier greatly reduced in WTO member. The foreign trade developed very quickly, but it didn't mean the export of China's products were unhindered which we originally imagined. The economy of developing countries keeps driving impetus, such as China, and the foreign trade continues to develop. But the developed countries go into downturn, such as America, the trade deficit keep on enlarging, and market antinomy stand out. So the trade protectionism of these countries recurs, they necessarily take some trade barrier to protect domestic market.Because the multilateral trade negotiation in GATT (General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade) urge each country to highly decrease their tariff, the function of traditional tariff protection increasingly minimize. With the recurring of trade protectionism and the unceasing changing of its form, western developed countries firstly bring forward technical barriers and green barriers. Then they bring forward social barrier which concerns labor body and mind health as well as labor equity.The social barrier contain social items (including social security ,labor treatment, labor right, labor technical standard etc) in various international convention .They supplement each other with civil rights and politics equity). The advancing of social item aims to protect labor equity, not trade barrier, but it is imposed by trade protectionist to weaken or restrict low cost of developing country's enterprises. Now academic circles and business circles don't give social barriers enough attention. The paper combines qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis. First it introduces social barriers, and then analyzes the general effect of social barrier about international trade. Lastly the paper analyzes the social barrier's influences in our foreign trade, and put forward corresponding countermeasures.The paper is composed of five chapters:The first chapter is introduction part. The chapter indicates the meaning of selection, disquisitive purpose, correlation study, basic framework, disquisitive clue, research method, innovative place.The second charter summarizes social barrier which is the base of this paper. The part expatiates the meaning of social and its character, form, and deeply analyzes the main form SA8000 of social barrier. It is a civilian social barrier. It violates the rule of WTO, hinders the process of liberalization and it functions as a barrier in impersonality.The third chapter analyzes the influence of social barrier in international trade from various angles.
