Analysis On The Influence Of Blue Trade Barrier On China's Export Trade

Blue trade barrier is a kind of non-tariff barrier,which is gradually emerging especially in recent years.It mainly focuses on the working environment and living conditions of workers.To be honest,SA8000 standard is the only general corporate social responsibility standards currently in the world.the international trade and labor standards can be linked through the SA8000 standard.so in many conditions,the SA8000 standard is also a synonym for blue trade barriers.So the study of the blue trade barrier is also the study of the SA8000 standard.On the basis of the current international trade situation,firstly the paper analyzes the concept of blue trade barriers and the SA8000 standards and summarizes the researches on labor standards at home and abroad.At the same time,the author uses the equilibrium analysis theory,the game theory model to analyze the influence of the blue trade barrier on export trade of textile and clothing products of China.Besides,the author use trade gravity model to do empirical analysis,in order to analyze that how the SA8000 effect the export trade of textile and clothing products of China.And finally,on the basis of the above research,the paper also put forward the strategy to deal with SA8000.The paper mainly considers that in the short term,the effect of blue trade barrier on China's export trade reflects on in three aspects: the declining number of export products,the increasing prices of export products and deterioration of the terms of export trade;in the long term,it can improve development processes and productivity of the enterprise,help improve innovation of technology and the management system of enterprise,and finally promote upgrading the export industrial structure and increase the volume of export trade.Through empirical analysis,it is also found that the blue trade barriers will promote export trade of China in the long term which confirmed the above conclusion.On the basis of the above study,the paper argues that the best way to deal with the blue trade barriers is to accelerate the implementation of SA8000 standards.So this paper puts forward some relevant suggestions on how to accelerate the implementation of SA8000 standards.Both the government and enterprises should make efforts to achieve the goal.Government need to perfect the laws and regulations,to implement and enforce the law,assist the establishment and the operation of certification instruments,standardize the certification market,establish labor evaluation standards actively in China,providing subsidies to certification enterprises;For enterprises,theyneed to pay more attention to SA8000,strictly abide by the labor laws and regulations and strengthen technological innovation,so as to promote the implementation of SA8000 in China.
