The Investigation And Analysis For Practice Of TPS Management In FAW Jiefang Truck Co. And FAW Car Co. Ltd

This paper presents some thoughts about enterprise management by investigation and analysis of practice of Toyota Production System----TPS in FAW Jiefeng Co. and FAW car Co ltd ,aiming at providing some attention calling to those who has a mind to put TPS into practice in their organization .At first ,the summary about TPS has been made ,focusing on just-in-time and Jidoka ,understanding about waste and employee-first, in retrospect of many years cooperation and communication between FAW and Toyota , the conclusion has been drawn that there are some background and conditions to prevail TPS in FAW. Through on-site investigation in JIEFANG Truck Company. and FAW car Co. Ltd ,some prominent improvements have attained in two companies, especially in the fields of inventory reduction ,product-in-work reduction and workshop order ,besides, according to TPS, pulling production (market drive) and quality management have been widely accepted in FAW. On the basic of marked TPS practice ,how do we think about TPS from point of view of organization management from the other side? Where do we need to pay much attention to in enterprise operation ? what are FAW's shortcomings and weakness ? Is there a only way to overcome FAW's shortcomings and weakness by taking TPS? What will we lean and obtain from TPS? . This paper also presents some understanding and analysis about TPS in the field of cost and financial management, the cost in enterprise almost depends on management of product design, fixed asset investment , marketing and sale is the drive of a enterprise. No customers , no market, then no enterprise. But TPS doesn't tell us how we deal with market ,design and investment, on the contrary , TPS lets us put our attention to production , logistic and quality management, in order to minimize operation money.
