Information released by the Ministry of Construction showed that nearly two billion square meters of new housing is constructed every year, of which more than 80% is high-energy architecture. And there exit nearly 40 billion square meters of buildings, of which over 95% is high-energy buildings. According to Qiu Baoxing, the vice minister of Construction, the energy consumption per unit in China is over two to three times more than that of the developed countries. For example, the solid clay bricks destroy about 120 thousand mu plowland every year. The consumption of steel is 10% to 25% higher than the developed countries. And it consumes 80 kilograms of cement more than that of developed countries per stere of concrete. The sanitary equipment consumes over 30% higher water than that of developed countries. The reuse rate of the wastewater is only a quarter of that in developed countries. Just as Minister Qiu Baoxing said in his speech, "At the present, we are standing at a new historical starting point, as well as a very important juncture."In the whole world, the traditional economy which is characterized by high consumption of the energy and the raw materials is losing the glory of the past. Shifting from resource-dependent to innovation - driven economy, the realization of the shift in economic growth style has become an urgent strategic choice, which we must face in the rapid urbanization, industrialization and mechanization process in China's economic development.Green architecture is defined as a construction which provides a healthy, comfortable and safe space for people's live, work and activities, and which can achieve high efficient use of resources (energy, land, water, materials) and lowest environmental impact in the life cycle (material production, construction planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance and dismantling, reuse process). Green architecture is an available means of energy conservation and effective use of resources, which constructs a safe, healthy, efficient and comfortable living space by an environmentally friendly way, so as to achieve co-existence sustainable development of architecture, environment and humanity. Along with the awakening of human's environment consciousness and sustainable development consciousness, the green house has become a trend of future house. In our country, it is imperative to construct the house (newly and already built) to be environmentally friendly. In the process of the promotion and implementation of...
