Study Of Sino-ASEAN Cooperation In Energy Sector

Energy is the base of a country's development and security. Due to the increase of requirements and high price, energy has become a striking world issue. With the industrialization and socialization of our country, energy consumption increases steadily and continuously, and energy shortage will become the bottleneck of the society. The Southeast Asian countries are rich in natural resources, and the cooperation in this field has lasted for many years. It will be of great significance to cooperate with ASEAN in energy sector.This thesis analyzes the energy cooperation in the following ways. It discusses the reality of energy security in China and the possibility and significance of the cooperation. As a consequence of lack of energy, we should insist international cooperation, and the rich energy reserves of ASEAN also provide us with the possibility for cooperation. It also makes concrete analysis of the energy reality of ASEAN, and analyzes the history and prospect of the cooperation between China and ASEAN. It is important to analyze the comprehensive factors that affect the energy cooperation, including the advantages such as the friendly cooperating relations of Sino-ASEAN and the disadvantages such as the South China Sea. The tactics to the disadvantageous situations that will be encountered is also analyzed. The main idea of the thesis is that there are bases and much space for the Sino-ASEAN cooperation in energy sector and the prospect is optimistic.
