The automobile industry of Taiwan produces about 500,000 vehicles every year, and there are more than 10 motor companies in the automobile industry, not to mention the numerous brands of vehicles, IT IS report (2001) in accordance with the Taiwanese worker. To reach the standardization of the vehicle economic scale, the individual motor company has to produce more than 100,000 vehicles per year, and maintain the same product output for four years, however under the supervision of the mother factory abroad, the ability of the performance of the individual company has been limited, in addition, the market is fierce, after the accession to the WTO, the predicament of the motor industry competition will not get any easier, the automobile market is facing a stormy change, and the same motor industry are gradually rising in mainland China, while the Taiwanese motor market is getting to the point of saturation and must draw support from the outside market of Taiwan, furthermore in engaging in facing foreign rivals of automobile industry, Taiwan's motor industry unable to grasp political economy under the environment while being precise, to analyze and research existing advantage and profitability, break-through the problem and seek the profitable solutions for the industry, and keeps the constant competition advantage to stand out.This study basis on analyzing and collecting over the development of the industry, combine all comprehensive industry expert data and advanced common understanding in their research, using the method of SWOT to analyze the industry, discover the weakness of the industry, and giving suggestions, for the motor industry and the government as a guide and reference. Make a short-term industry development prediction of the following five years. The research shows that international A.M markets - Taiwan has already had flexibility, benefit form that advantages of having small and medium automobile enterprise.
