Analysis On Status Of The Seed Company Of Shanghai Farm And Strategies For Continuous Development

By using the method of combination of Marxism philosophy theory andpractice, under the studies of the domestic and foreign seed industry, the paperanalyzed the new situations and new questions which the Seed Company of ShanghaiFarm met in the process of development. We give the proposal to speed up the company, which arethrough those methods, such as scanning the changes of environment, making andadjusting company's developing strategy, using and cultivating its strengths tograsp opportunities and avoid threats.Firstly, the paper analyzed the characteristics and trends of the seed industryin the word, i.e. the overseas seed enterprise overall scale is big, the economicpotentiality is formidable; intensive concentration of seed industry, annexationand recombination and the trends of large scale, collectivization andinternationalization; manages legally, the government does not intervene theenterprise production management; the scientific research invests high, researchand development ability; takes the seed quality extremely; pays great attention tothe market share, strengthens the new variety and the brand protection specially;the biotechnology development in seed industry, were analyzed.Secondly, the paper analyzed the current status and trends of china' seedindustry, and it elaborated from following five aspects: our country seed industry,present market scale, correlation laws and regulations, the development trend ofmarket and profession, the existence question of seed market.Thirdly, the paper studied the status of the Seed Company of Shanghai Farm and thecompany's external environment and internal conditions, and summarized thecompany exterior's opportunity and the threat, interior's superiority andinferiority. Using SWOT method, I established the SWOT matrix of the Seed Company of Shanghai Farm. Through it, I give the advice to accelerate the company'sdevelopment, which are determining the company mission, executingorganizational reform, forming stock system company, establishing effectivecompany's government structure. The above advices would play great role inpractice.
